INGREDIENTS

200g medjool dates
3 tbsp honey
4 heaped tbsp Chocolate Shake Pea Protein
Zest 2 oranges
120g almonds
60g choc chip

Coating options
White or/and black chia seeds
Cocoa
Dehydrated orange zest powder*

METHOD

  • Place dates, honey, protein powder and orange zest into the bowl of a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add almonds and choc chips and blend until combined, allowing it to remain a little chunky.
  • Roll tablespoon amounts into balls and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • These protein balls are great as is or you may choose to roll them in chia seeds and/or cocoa powder & dehydrated orange powder for an extra jaffa hit.


    *dehydrated orange powder is available from specialty food stores or simply make it by drying out orange skin in a dehydrator or very low oven and blitzing the dried skin in a spice grinder until fine.
